Tracy, a two-years baseball letterman at MC who played professionally for eight years, including the 1980 and 1981 seasons with the Chicago Cubs and one full season in Japan. As a freshman, he was a member of the 1975 MC team that went 44-6 and finished as the Division II and III national runner-up and selected to the Mideast Regional and World Series All Tournament Teams. A year later, Jim was selected to First Team All-NCAA District 4 and First Team All-American after leading the Pioneer's in hitting with .391 average.
In two years at MC, he collected 102 hits in 287 at bats (.355) with 18 doubles, 8 triples, 9 home runs and 69 RBI's. The past four years he's managed in the minor league at Peoria (a Chicago Cubs affiliate in the Midwest League) and at the Chattanooga (the Cincinnati Reds AA affiliate in The Southern League).
Jim, his wife, Debra, and their three sons: Brian, Chad and Mark, live in Sarasota, Florida, where Jim is presently laying in the Senior Professional Baseball League for the Florida Tropics.
