Jesse DuPerow, a four-year letterman at power forward, was a member of the men’s basketball team from 1999-2002. A dominant player on both ends of the court, DuPerow is the program’s all-time leading scorer with 1,948 points. He also holds the school record for career field goals (730) and blocked shots (204). DuPerow’s 65 blocks in the 2001-02 season and seven blocks against Capital in 2000 are also school records. DuPerow earned All-Ohio Athletic Conference honors all four seasons and is one of two Pioneers to be named first team All-OAC three times. He garnered All-Great Lakes Region honors three times and was named a d3hoops.com All-American as a senior when he was also a finalist for the Jostens National Player of the Year Award. DuPerow led the OAC in scoring his sophomore and senior seasons. The Pioneers’ team captain in 2002, DuPerow capped his playing career with the 2002 Way-Weigelt Award, which he shared with fellow Hall of Fame inductee Jay Coakley.
 
DuPerow, who graduated with a degree in management and a minor in sports management, works as an accounts payable supervisor for Norfolk Southern Corporation in Roanoke, Va. He is involved with United Way and JDRF fund raising activities through Norfolk Southern. DuPerow and his wife Megan ’03 reside in Roanoke with their daughters Isabella and Lillian.
