Marks, of Fleming, Ohio, until recently was the all-time leading rebounder at Marietta College with 985. During his career, Marks was also a prolific scorer as he finished with 1,283 points.
He was honored as an all-conference player twice, including a second team mention after the 1963-64 season. He earned four letters at Marietta College and nine varsity letters as a four-sport standout in high school.
“I am excited to be included with such a great group of people,” Marks said. “It is a real nice reward for the time I played basketball at Marietta. But I played for the love of the game, so the rewards are secondary.”
Marks coached high school basketball for 13 years, including seven at Warren High School. Now, he just teaches mathematics at the school. Marks and his wife, Donna, have one daughter.
