Donald Plaisted Whiting, class of 1921, earned a total of 10 letters in basketball, football and baseball, and his basketball records for most points in a game 954) and best scoring average (21.4) have stood for more than 60 years. He was an All-Ohio basketball player in 1916-17 and an honorable mention selection on Walter Camp's All-American Football Team in 1920. He was one of MC's greatest all- around athletes. He died in 1965.
