Dan B. Cawley, Sr., a four year letterman in golf at MC, graduated in 1939. His achievements from tee to green are nearly too numerous to mention. They include his serving as Captain of the Pioneer golf team during his junior and senior seasons; selected as Captain of the All-Conference Team; winning Individual Medalist Honors in the OAC Team Championships; Individual OAC Champion in 1938 and 1939 and named to the All- Ohio Conference Teams for two consecutive seasons.
President of Weiser and Cawley Furniture in Marietta, Ohio, Dan has won 14 Marietta Country Club Championships and, in 1956, he finished as runner-up to Jack Nickalus in the Ohio Open staged at the Marietta Country Club.
A member of the Marietta College Board of Fellows since its inception in the early 1970's, Dan and his wife, Nancy, reside in Vienna, West Virginia.
