Davies was then a repeat OAC Kent Tekulve Pitcher of the Year, All-OAC first team and All-Region first team selection while also earning All-America second team recognition as a junior. During his two seasons at Marietta, the Etta Express captured a pair of OAC championships and the NCAA Mideast Regional championship in 1996. Davies, who left for professional baseball after his junior year, set Marietta’s single-game (17) and single-season (135) record for strikeouts as a sophomore.
