Kenyon was the first, First Team All-American at Marietta College in baseball as an outfielder on the 1973 Pioneer squad.
He was a three-year letter winner and a member of three Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Championship teams in 1970, 1972 and 1973. In addition to his All-America honors, he also earned First Team All-District honors and First Team All-OAC honors in 1973 and Second Team All-District and First Team All-OAC honors in 1972.
Kenyon led the Pioneers in 1973 with a .363 batting average, after compiling 49 hits, 32 RBIs, 12 doubles, three triples and three homeruns. His 49 hits and 12 doubles were single season individual records at the time, and he also held several single game individual records. In 1972, however, Kenyon had his best year at the plate, hitting .412 on the season with 42 hits and 25 RBIs. Kenyon ended his career with a .361 batting average.
Kenyon and his wife, Karen, have five children, Bret, Britni, Mary Jeanne, Josiah and Andrew. They reside in Valencia, Pa., where he serves as an assistant pastor at Gospel Fellowship PCA Church.
