Varrasso played four years of football under head coach Gene Epley earning four varsity letters. He served as a team captain his junior and senior seasons.
Varrasso is a three-time All-OAC performer earning honorable mention as a sophomore, second team honors as a junior and first team recognition his senior year. He averaged nearly 90 tackles per season and had 10 career interceptions, including a team-leading five in 1994.
Varrasso was a key part of the 1995 team that finished 8-1-1 and is widely considered Marietta's greatest football team of all time. The Pioneers tied John Carroll the second game of the season and took perennial NCAA powerhouse Mount Union down to the wire in front of a capacity crowd in Don Drumm Stadium before falling 41-37.
Varrasso earned a bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Marietta College in 1997. He completed an MBA at Otterbein University in 2010. Varrasso is currently employed at JPMorgan Chase as Chief Information Officer. Varrasso and his wife Silvana have four children; Dominic, Danielle, Dante and Delaney.
