Abigail (Klicker) Lord '13 begins her fifth season as the head women's rowing coach at Marietta College in 2022-23.
Lord returned to her alma mater after three years on the women’s rowing coaching staff at Bucknell University, an NCAA Division I member of the Patriot League. Lord started as the recruiting coordinator for the Bison before becoming the head novice coach and then Bucknell’s top assistant.
A four-year varsity oarswoman for the Pioneers, Lord was a two-time All-Mid-Atlantic Rowing Conference rower and three-time CRCA National Scholar-Athlete. She helped the Navy Blue & White to a pair of Dad Vail Division II/Division III varsity 8+ gold medals and back-to-back NCAA Division III Championship appearances in 2011 and 2012.
Lord began her coaching career as a volunteer coach at Pine-Richland High School in Gibsonia, Pennsylvania in 2014. She spent the 2014-15 academic year as the head freshman rowing coach at Oakland Catholic High School in Pittsburgh. Pennsylvania.
A Pittsburgh native, Lord received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Studio Art from Marietta in 2013. She graduated Magna Cum Laude and also earned a Leadership Certificate. Lord and her husband, Nathan, reside in Lowell, Ohio with their son Alexander.
