Tracy Blasius begins her sixth season as head women's soccer coach at Marietta College in 2018. She is the eighth head coach in the 29-year history of the program.

Following a year away from soccer, Blasius came to Marietta in 2012 after a highly successful coaching career at John Carroll University. Blasius led the Blue Streak women’s soccer program for 15 seasons compiling a career record of 143-122-27.

Under Blasius’ direction, John Carroll won two Ohio Athletic Conference regular season championships and one OAC Tournament title. She was named Coach of the Year in the conference on three occasions and Great Lakes Regional Coach of the Year in 2000.

Over her final four seasons with the Blue Streaks, Blasius guided John Carroll to a 22-10-4 conference record. In 2011, JCU set a program record with 14 victories and defeated two nationally ranked opponents for the first time in program history.

Blasius led the 2001 Blue Streaks to their first NCAA Tournament appearance as well as the OAC Tournament championship.

Prior to John Carroll, Blasius spent two years as an assistant coach at the University of Vermont. The Catamounts won the 1996 America East Conference regular season championship after setting the school record with 12 wins.

Blasius coached the Nordic Spirit Soccer Club under-16 girls club team to the Vermont State Championship in both 1996 and 1997.

The veteran coach has served on various committees in her career. Blasius was the vice president of the Ohio Collegiate Soccer Association, NCAA Great Lakes Regional chair and a member of the NCAA Division III National Women’s Soccer Committee from 2003-2006. She also served on the NSCAA Great Lakes Regional Ranking Committee for three years.

A two-time NSCAA All-American at Gettysburg College (Pa.), Blasius was named the Centennial Conference Player of the Year in 1993. She was a captain her junior and senior seasons leading the Bullets to a pair of conference championships and two NCAA Tournament appearances. Blasius was inducted into the Gettysburg College Hall of Athletic Honor in 2013.

Originally from Franklin Lakes, N.J., Blasius earned a Bachelor’s of Arts Degree in Sociology and Anthropology from Gettysburg College in 1995. She obtained a National Diploma in 1996 and an Advanced National Diploma in 2002 from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA).
