Men’s Basketball senior post player Sahmi Willoughby (Groveport, Ohio/Reynoldsburg) led the Pioneers to a pair of OAC wins last week and the No. 5 seed in the OAC Tournament. Willoughby scored 15 points, grabbed eight rebounds and blocked two shots in Marietta’s upset win over No. 22 Mount Union. He followed that with 22 points and a school record 24 rebounds in the regular season finale win over Baldwin Wallace. For the week, Willoughby averaged 18.5 points and 16.0 rebounds per game. For his efforts, Willoughby was named the OAC Player of the Week and also earned a spot on the D3hoops.com Team of the Week.
