Junior post player Avery Williams (Nashport, Ohio/Tri-Valley) helped the No. 25 men’s basketball team to a pair of OAC wins last week. Williams scored 17 points and grabbed a team-high nine rebounds in MC’s 87-68 win over Otterbein. He followed that 14 points and eight boards in the Pioneers’ 65-52 road win over No. 24 Baldwin Wallace. For the week, Williams averaged 15.5 points and 8.5 rebounds per game, while hitting 13-of-23 (56.5%) from the floor. So far this season he is averaging 12.5 points and a team-best 7.4 rebounds per game.
