Pankowski set the school record in the Javelin Throw as a freshman before transferring at the end of that 2006 season. He returned to the program this year and has picked up right were he left off. Pankowski saved his best throw for last at Saturday's Don Frail Invitational, unleashing a school record toss of 57.83m (189-09), which was just over the provisional qualifying mark of 57.80m and earned him the victory.
