Men’s Basketball senior post player A.J. Edwards (Twinsburg, Ohio/Twinsburg) was named the Most Valuable Player of the OAC Men’s Basketball Tournament after averaging 18.3 points and 8.7 rebounds in Marietta’s three wins last week. Edwards dominated the Championship game hitting 11-of-17 from the floor and pouring in 28 points. In addition, the big man led the Pioneers in rebounds in all three games. On the season, Edwards ranks second in the OAC in scoring at 18.4 ppg and third in rebounding at 8.5 rpg. He leads the conference with 194 total field goals, 116 total free throws and 514 total points.
