Senior pitcher Christian Herstine (Beaver, Pa./Beaver Area) was named the OAC Baseball Pitcher of the Week after his dominating performance against Case Western Reserve. In his only appearance last week, Herstine struck out a career-high 14 batters in a one-hit shutout of Case Western. He allowed just four total base runners in the game. Herstine had streaks of nine straight and 14 straight hitters retired in the game. In addition to his strong pitching, He also put on a fielding clinic recording six assists in the game with only two coming on sacrifice bunt attempts.
