Strong, Marietta's pitching ace, went 3-0 with a 0.47 ERA in three appearances last week. The right-hander allowed just one run on 13 hits, walked one and struck out five in 19 innings of work.

Strong threw a one-hit shutout in an 8-0, five-innig victory over Washington & Jefferson (Pa.) on Wednesday. She then scattered one run on four hits in a complete-game win against Ohio Wesleyan on Saturday. On Sunday, Strong capped her week with an eight-hit shutout against Rio Grande.

Strong has posted a 5-1 record and a 2.15 ERA in 37 2/3 innings and seven appearances this season.
