Junior pitcher Alexis O’Hair (Maumee/Maumee) was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week as the Pioneers moved into a tie for first place in the league standings. O’Hair was 2-1 with a 1.75 earned run average last week and has pitched 16.1 innings without walking a hitter. After dropping a hard-fought 2-1 loss to Baldwin Wallace, O’Hair posted complete-game victories over Otterbein and Muskingum. For the season, O’Hair is 6-4 with a team-leading 1.97 ERA.
