Sophomore Dana VanDervort (Alexandria/Northridge) earned Ohio Athletic Conference Women’s Field Athlete of the Week honors after winning both the long and triple jumps at the OAC Gold Split meet last weekend posting personal records in each event. She also finished fifth in the 400-meter hurdles. VanDervort won the long with a distance of 5.25 meters and then took top honors in the triple jump with a leap of 11.06 meters. Her time of 1:10.12 in the 400-meter hurdles was also a new personal record. VanDervort’s performance in all three events helped the Pioneers to a third place team finish and also qualified her for the OAC Outdoor Championship.
