Senior Mike Mulvey (Glenshaw, Pa./North Catholic) was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Baseball Pitcher of the Week after going 1-0 with a 0.00 earned run average in two appearances. He tossed two innings of shutout relief in the Pioneers’ 8-5 win over La Roche College (Pa.) striking out three Redhawk hitters. Mulvey started the nightcap at Ohio Northern University and completely dominated the Polar Bears. Mulvey tossed six shutout innings and allowed just one base hit. He didn’t walk a batter and recorded five strikeouts in Marietta’s 16-0 victory. For the season, Mulvey is 4-0 with a 2.56 earned run average.
