Freshman Alex Allen (Charleston, W.Va./Capital) won a pair of events and finished third in two others at the OAC South Split meet last week. Allen set the Marietta College record in the 60-meter dash winning in a time of 7.99 seconds. Lauren Asbury held the old record of 8.00 seconds. Allen also won the long jump with a personal-best distance of 5.24 meters. Her time of 27.75 seconds in the 200-meter dash was good for third place. Allen ran the third leg of the Pioneers’ 4x400-meter relay team that placed third with a time of 4:25.93.
