Marietta College Athletics

Sophomore Charles Dixon (Columbus/Groveport Madson) broke a 26-year old school record in the 300-meter dash at the Marietta Ice Breaker. Dixon won the race in a time of 35.98 seconds breaking the old mark of 36.1 seconds set in 1987 by Tom Moss. Dixon also ran the anchor leg of Marietta’s winning 4x400-meter relay team. The Pioneers posted a time of 3:40.50 for the win. Dixon also placed fourth in the 55-meter dash with a time of 6.86 seconds.
