Senior Mike Mahaffey was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Baseball Pitcher of the Week. Mahaffey started and received the win in the Pioneers’ 5-0 win at Otterbein University last week. Against the Cardinals, Mahaffey tossed six innings of shutout ball scattering three hits and striking out seven. He also threw 1.1 innings of shutout relief against John Carroll.  On the season, Mahaffey is 5-1 with a 2.60 earned run average. He has made nine appearances and seven starts pitching 45 innings. Mahaffey has struck out 43 opposing batters.
