Carraher hits six three pointers in Marietta's 73-54 loss at Heidelberg
Junior nets a career-high 20 points in losing effort

TIFFIN, Ohio — Marietta College junior guard Amanda Carraher (Hilliard/Hilliard Davidson) connected on a six three pointers to finish with a career-high 20 points in the Pioneers' 73-53 loss to host Heidelberg College Friday (Dec. 14) evening.
The loss drops Marietta's record to 2-7 overall and 0-4 in the Ohio Athletic Conference. Heidelberg improved to 3-4, 1-3 in the OAC.
Carraher finished 6-of-9 from long range and hit 2-of-2 from the line in the game. Sophomore Jamie Beckett (Wooster/Triway) added 15 points on 5-of-5 shooting to go along with eight rebounds. Senior Natalie Jackson (Circleville) also contributed offensively with nine points. Junior Nikki Driscoll (Bellaire) dished out seven assists in the loss.
Heidelberg had five players reach double figures, including Maureen Hunter, who came off the bench to score 15 points. Brittany Skolnicki and Morgan Harrigan both added 11 points in the win.
Marietta, who trailed at the half 37-25, shot 18-of-46 (.391) from the floor, including 6-of-15 (.400) from long range. The Pioneers were out rebounded 39-26. Heidelberg finished 27-of-60 (.450) from the field, including 5-of-20 (.250) from deep.
The Pioneers do not return to action until Jan. 2, 2008, when they complete their four-game road trip with a non conference match-up at Oberlin. Tip-off is slated for 7 p.m.
