Marietta's Kovacevich earns OAC honor for third straight week
Junior set Shot Put record at Don Frail Invitational

AUSTINTOWN, Ohio — The Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) office announced its weekly awards Monday (April 7) afternoon and Marietta College junior throws specialist Tiffany Kovacevich (Strongsville) earned Women's Field Athlete of the Week honors for the third straight week.

Kovacevich participated in three events at the Don Frail Invitational, hosted by Marietta on Saturday (April 5) afternoon. She set a new school record in the Shot Put, taking third place with a mark of 12.16m (39-10.75). Kovacevich also placed second in the Hammer Throw with a mark of 41.73m (136-11) and took 10th in the Discus Throw with a mark of 28.92m (94-10).

Marietta is back in action on Tuesday (April 8) when its hosts rival Muskingum College in a dual meet. The field events will begin at 6 p.m. and the competition will end at approximately 9 p.m. with the 4x100m Relays. The Pioneers will also compete on Saturday (April 12) afternoon at the All-Ohio Championship, hosted by Ohio Wesleyan.
