Marietta's Kovacevich earns OAC honor for second straight week
Junior won three field events at OAC Gold Meet

AUSTINTOWN, Ohio — The Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) office announced its weekly awards Monday (March 31) afternoon and Marietta College junior throws specialist Tiffany Kovacevich (Strongsville) earned Women's Field Athlete of the Week honors for the second straight week.
Kovacevich dominated the three field events in which she competed at the OAC Relays, hosted by Marietta on Saturday (March 29) at Don Drumm Stadium. Kovacevich won the Shot Put with a season's best throw of 11.58m (38-00.00). She also took first in the Discus with a personal record toss of 34.48m (113-01). Kovacevich then captured the individual title in the Hammer Throw with a mark of 42.68m (140-00).
Marietta is back in action on Saturday (April 5) when its hosts the Don Frail Invitational. Activity at Don Drumm Stadium begins at 12 p.m. with a series of field events and will conclude at approximately 6 p.m. |
