Marietta men open OAC play with an 8-1 loss at Wilmington
Callihan wins at fifth singles

WILMINGTON, Ohio — Junior Ryan Callihan (Stout/Portsmouth West) earned his first win at fifth singles this season, but Marietta College was on the losing end of an 8-1 decision with host Wilmington College Tuesday (March 27) afternoon.

With the loss, the Pioneers fall to 0-2, 0-1 in the Ohio Athletic Conference. The Quakers improved to 2-3, 1-0 in league play.

Callihan defeated Matt Frickle, 6-0, 6-1, to improve to 1-1 on the year.

Marietta is back in action Thursday (March 29) afternoon, when it travels to Waynesburg (Pa.) for a 2 p.m. match.
