men pick up first OAC victory with a 5-2 win over Capital

MARIETTA, Ohio — The Marietta College men's tennis team improved
to 2-6 overall and 1-6 in the Ohio Athletic Conference with a 5-2
victory over Capital Tuesday (Apr. 11) at the Beren Tennis Center.
Capital (2-6, 0-4 OAC) began the match in a hole, as it had to
forfeit at both #6 singles and #3 doubles.
Marietta clinched the double's point when Ryan Callihan
and Mark Briggs picked up an 8-3 victory
at #2 singles.
The Pioneers also claimed three of the five singles points that
were contested this afternoon.
Briggs won his #3 singles match, 6-1, 6-2. Eddie Yu earned
a 6-3, 6-4 victory at #4 singles. Adam Rockhold also
won his #5 singles match, 7-6 (7-5), 6-3.
Marietta returns to action Thursday (Apr. 13) when it travels to
TIffin to take on Heidelberg at 3:30 p.m.
