Pioneer Park was renamed Don Schaly Stadium in May 2006 to honor Hall of Fame coach Don Schaly, who amassed a 1,442-329 record over 40 years.
Originally constructed in 1968, the natural grass field is built to major-league dimensions of 330 feet down the lines, 370 feet in the alleys and 410 feet to center. Don Schaly Stadium also includes two batting cages with artificial turf and a practice infield, both adjacent to the fully enclosed stadium that seats over 1,500 of the Etta Express faithful. Bleachers run from dugout to dugout, complementing the three-story press box. A large electronic scoreboard oversees the park from left-center field keeping the fans up-to-date on the Pioneers’ success.
The park has also seen numerous post-season games, including the NCAA Division III World Series from 1976-1987. Don Schaly Stadium has had several renovations, including the press box in 1988 and a lighting system in 1994. The park is located on Mulholland Drive.
