OAK RIDGE, Tenn. — Marietta College women's rowing continued its season Saturday (April 16) and Sunday (April 17) when its varsity 8+ took sixth in the Grand Final and the varsity 4+ took fourth in the Petite Final at the Southern Intercollegiate Rowing Association Championship. [

Alyse McNeill (Pittsburgh, Pa./Shaler Area) began their weekend Saturday with a runner-up placement in an opening heat after crossing the line in 6:56.84. The Pioneers then moved onto the Grand Final following another second place finish in the semifinal. In the second race on Saturday, they covered the 2,000m course in 6:50.54. Marietta's bid for the medal stand on Sunday didn't materialize, however, as it took sixth with a time of 7:13.01.

Christina Beltran-Revilla (Pittsburgh, Pa./Fox Chapel Area), captured third place in its Saturday heat with a time of 8:24.80 to move on to its semifinal. The Pioneers then took sixth in that race, covering the course in 7:53.02, to land in Sunday's Petite Final. Marietta closed out its weekend with a fourth place finish in its final by crossing the line in 8:11.36.
