Creasap and Rockhold named All-OAC honorable mention in 2008
17th straight season Marietta has had a player earn All-OAC recognition

March 4, 2008
AUSTINTOWN, Ohio — The Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) announced its 2008 All-OAC Men’s Basketball award winners Tuesday (March 4) morning and both Marietta College senior Adam Rockhold (Olmsted Falls) and junior Isaiah Creasap (Wooster/Northwestern) earned All-OAC honorable mention. The duo was instrumental in the success of the young Pioneers this season and extend Marietta's streak of having atleast one player earn league recognition to 17 straight seasons.

Rockhold had a breakout season in 2007-08. The center, who entered the year averaging 2.5 points and 2.8 rebounds over his career, was the only player in the OAC to average a double double this winter and led the league in rebounding. He finished with eight double doubles in 25 games. Rockhold finished the year averaging 13.4 points and 10.4 rebounds to go along with 1.8 assists, 1.1 steals and 1.1 blocks. He ranked 21st in the country in rebounding. Rockhold scored a career-high 28 points in his final game for the Pioneers against Baldwin-Wallace and tied a school record with a career-high 23 rebounds against Waynesburg (Pa.) earlier in the season.

Creasap continued to build upon his career résumé in 2007-08. The sharp-shooting guard, who was also named All-OAC honorable mention in 2006-07, led the team in scoring for the second straight season. He averaged 14.5 points, which ranked ninth in the OAC, as well as 1.5 rebounds, 2.6 rebounds, and 1.2 assists. Creasap finished second in the league in three-point field goals made (67) and 10th in three-point field goal percentage (.411). He scored a season-high 27 points against Grove City (Pa.). Creasap tied a single game record for free throw percentage after hitting 10-of-10 (1.000) from the line against Waynesburg. The junior also closed the year as the all-time leader in three-point field goals with 217.

Marietta, under the direction of first-year Head Coach Jon VanderWal, finished the season 6-19 overall and 2-16 in the OAC. The Pioneers lose only one senior, Rockhold, as they begin preparation for the 2008-09 season.
