Ream named to D3football.com's Team of the Week
Senior had career day in win over Wilmington

MARIETTA, Ohio — Marietta College senior nose tackle Clay Ream (Burbank/Northwestern) earned national recognition on Wednesday (Nov. 7) morning when he was rewarded for his stellar play in week 10 with D3football.com Team of the Week honors.

Ream, a 2006 All-American, had a career-high 12 tackles (five solo) and three sacks in the Pioneers' 38-14 win over Wilmington College on November 3. He also forced a fumble and had 4.5 tackles for loss and two hurries in the win.

This season, Ream has collected 70 stops, which ranks third on the squad. He leads the team in sacks with six and is second in tackles for loss with 12.5. Ream has also added one interception, two pass break ups, two forced fumbles, two blocked kicks and four quarterback hurries in 2007.

The Team of the Week is selected by D3football.com staff and contributors from players nominated by Sports Information Directors, coaches and conference offices.

Ream and his teammates close out the season on Saturday (Nov. 10) with a trip to Alliance, Ohio, to take on No. 1 Mount Union (9-0, 8-0 OAC). Kickoff is slated for 1:30 p.m. The action can be heard locally on WMRT-FM 88.3 and online at http://pioneers.marietta.edu/onlinebroadcasts.html.
