Marietta's Vrable named OAC Offensive Player of the Week

TWINSBURG, Ohio — The Ohio Athletic Conference office announced its Players of the Week for the week ending November 6, and Marietta College junior quarterback Jason Vrable (South Park, Pa.) was given OAC Offensive Player of the Week honors following his efforts Saturday (Nov. 5) against Baldwin-Wallace.

Vrable led the Pioneers back from an 18-point fourth quarter deficit by throwing for a pair of touchdowns and running for another during an 11-minute, 32-31 comeback, win. Vrable was 32-of-52 for 305 yards and two Touchdowns. He also rushed for a pair of touchdowns and 49 total yards on 14 carries. He is now 109 yards shy of Marietta's single-season passing record of 1,834 yards.

Marietta (5-4, 4-4 OAC) will look to close its season with a win at home against Ohio Northern (7-2, 6-2 OAC) Saturday (Nov. 12). The Senior Day kickoff is slated for 1:30 p.m. at Don Drumm Stadium.
